How to make well rounded children… Introduce them to Broadway Shows!
Disney Presents The Lion King is a musical based on the 94′ Disney animation of the same name with music by Elton John and lyrics by Tim Rice along with the musical score created by Hans Zimmer. Julie Taymor directs the Disney Theatrical produced show. The musical includes actors in animal costumes as well as giant puppets. The musical has integrated several changes to the storyline as compared to the original film. For example, Rafiki’s gender was changed to a female role. Several new scenes are as well, including a scene in which Timon finds himself nearly drowning, while Simba feels powerless to help him.
Like its predecessor, the Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Musical, the show adds more songs to its stage production, including the song Morning Report, sung by Zazu the hornbill bird.
Songs with swahili lyrics such as as “Lea Halelela”, has been adapted for the musical with new English lyrics. Many of the animals portrayed in the production are actors in costume using extra tools to move their costumes. For example, actors walking on stilts portray the giraffes. Leading characters like Mufasa and Scar, their costumes feature mechanical headpieces that can be raised and lowered to foster the illusion of a cat “lunging” at another. Actors in life-sized puppets or costumes portray other characters. The chorus members are usually visible in the production, rather than being hidden in the shadows as seen in some other musical shows. A new section of the production, the Lioness Hunt, features an extraordinary dance sequence.

QUESTION:
Role of Famiy in Lyrics?
I need some help on developing some ideas for a thesis. I have to write an argumentative paper on the role of family in 1 or 2 songs of my choice. I have been looking at “Wonderful” by Everclear, “Family Portrait” by Pink, and “Because of You” by Kelly Clarkson. My initial thought was to examine the effects of divorce on a child (“Wonderful”) and as an adult (“Because of You”) but cannot come up with a thesis to do this. It seems that this idea is not much of an argument. I also thought of writing about how the child has to cover his or her emotions (“I have to fake a smile, a laugh everyday of my life” from “Because of You” and “I laugh a lot so my friends won’t know” from “Wonderful”). Could someone please help me out with a possible thesis and examples? Thanks a lot!-
ANSWER:
You could think about Cat’s in the Cradle by Harry Chapin,He talks about a father who was more interested in his own career than his son’s early development.
The son turned out just like him.
